Holiday Gift Reception

A dear friend of ours is hosting a Holiday benefit in our store.  Here is a warming letter inviting all to join.

” I hope this letter finds you and your family well.  I need your help this Holiday season.  The Greater Minneapolis Crisis Nursery in Golden Valley and the Hallie Q Brown Center in St. Paul have both approached me for assistance in supporting their families.  They are in need of help with their Holiday Wish List.  I know this year has been especially tough for everyone, so I’m inviting you to drop off your gifts at a reception I’m hosting to Thank You for your generosity.  So please ask your friends, family, and co-workers to help with your list and invite them to celebrate the spirit of giving at the party on December 9th.  Thank you for your time.”  (Dawn Selle)

WHAT: Holiday Gift Reception, drop your gifts and enjoy complimentary food provided by SEVEN, wine, and a specialty holiday cocktail!

WHAT TO BRING: New toys, including educational activities, and games for children newborn through age 6. Items that promote cultural diversity are encouraged. New winter clothing for children infant through size 12, (example: coats, boots, hats, and mittens.)  Gift items for parents such as; kitchen items, bath items, and winter accessories.  Gift certificates for families to local grocery stores for $25 or more to purchase holiday meals.  Gift certificates for families to department stores for $25 or more including Target, Wal-Mart, etc.  Holiday wrapping paper, bows and tape.  Large black garbage bags.

NOTE: Please do not purchase gifts that promote violence: guns, war action figures, etc.  Toys that require batteries for operation will not be accepted.  Please do not wrap gifts.

Ready For Success

We have teamed up with the organization Ready For Success as they help men in transition.  Ready For Success’ aim is to provide professional clothing to men in need which will assist in their efforts to gain employment.  The program is new as of January 2010, and we at Elsworth look forward to assisting and greatly appreciate your help.

 Our commitment is to provide a drop location for new or gently used men’s garments that can help others in need for the workplace.  We would also like to extend a wonderful 15 % off discount on purchases made from ELSWORTH MENSWEAR when clothing is donated for the Ready For Success cause.  To learn more, please visit… http://www.ecsmn.org/rfsmens-program 

HAUTE

This past Saturday we engaged in a fashion show coined “HAUTE,” put on by Brian Graham Salon to benefit Open Arms and The Aliveness Project.  Models provided by Vision.  Here are some of the looks we showcased as we enter the emerging Fall season.

One Man Minneapolis II

Mayer is at it again! But this time around with the 2nd heat of  the One Man Minneapolis comp, the focus will be based even more on their community involvement and the charities they choose.  Last year I was lucky enough to be apart of this wonderful event, and I am glad to see it is going onward to showcase our great Twin Cities men in what they do.

ELSWORTH MENSWEAR participated in the event by styling the finalists for the event.  The feedback was wonderful and it allowed the crowd a teaser of what the store has to offer.  Look forward to Elsworth styles for One Man MPLS II .
